SWAN
SWAN was born in Niles, MI, moved to Los Angeles, CA and has returned to Michigan to Turn it UP!!!
Admiring his father, the renowed musician, composer and Grammy Nominee along with Cowriter Kevin Yancey SWAN began at age 13. As with many vocal entusiasts SWAN expressed his vocal talents through onstage schools and musical. During one such audition, the choir director noticed great potential in SWAN and took him under his wing in the "Advanced Treble" choir.
With more fine tuning of his vocal skills, SWAN auditioned for other talent showcases soon after SWAN, aka Courtney Jermaine Metcalfe definitely had talent, but he needed a style of his own.
With a father having a musical background, SWAN headded home to get guidance and to develop his style. He linked up with some Michigan rap artists and others and began a group called "New Image". However, as the performances continued, the group began to unravel.
From that point forward, SWAN continued to pursue singing in the Detroit underground scene as a solo artist. He began writing and recording new material, as well as singing hooks for several rappers, he developed close relationships with several new independent labels. He sang back up for George Clinton's daughters group in Los Angeles.
Swan is well known in the underground scene and continues to perform around the Metro Detroit, St.Louis and Chicago areas.
He's been in videos with singers such as Ginuine and others It's safe to say that now SWAN has officially stepped foot into the music entertainment business and this is only the begfinning of "SWAN".......
