Born Jonathan Wayne Walker, AKA “The Johnny Walker Experience”, I come from a wonderful family that has supported me all my life. "THE WALKERS." I began my career working with Prince as a Back-up dancer for his nightclub (Glam Slam) in Minneapolis, MN in 1994 and was a fashion model for world resound Horst, creator of “Aveda.” After the birth of my daughter “London,” I created “J’lon Entertainment Co.” and began my journey to make my mark in the music industry. I also traveled with Columbia/CBS recording artist and band “Radiant” for the Marriott Hotel chains as a front man and started to dream about working on a solo album. In 1991, I met an incredible producer by the name of Robert Rivera that co-wrote with me on two tracks where we recorded them at Paisley Park Studios. In 1998 a producer that was connected with the Teddy Riley camp approached me. Then going by the name of “Jmykaels,” I was asked to write verses on Melanie B.’s (Spice Girls) solo album “Hot,” Virgin Records, as well work side by side with Jack Knight on a few songs doing back up vocals for him and Monifa. Earlier, I met and became friends with super-engineer, Brad Yost, (“Scream”…Michael and Janet Jackson) for Jimmy “Jam”& Terry Lewis, owners of Flyte Tyme Records. Currently, Brad is working with me on a few of my songs on my forth coming album. Around that time I was introduced to Anne Nesby from the Sounds of Blackness, where I was sent to New York to meet with David Alexander for Marvelous Music where “Jamicia Bennett,” Anne's Nesby's daughter, was working on the “Jason Lyric” sound track. After meeting with David, I was sent to “Toi Green” A&R Director for Sony Records but then at PolyGram Records and started a working relationship with her that lasted until this day. Each one of these “Experiences” taught me valuable lessons in the music business and I gained excellent relationships that will last a lifetime, but not a thing could prepare me for what was coming next. After moving back to Virginia Beach, VA… In 2004, I suffered a traumatic brain injury that nearly killed me, leaving me with a debilitating injury that Dr.'s say I will sustain for life. After having to learn how to walk and talk all over again, my fight with epilepsy has become a constant threat in my life, but I over came all odds by my belief in God, which completely changed my life forever. With a push from friend Andy Sutter, I was able to get a grip of my dream and move forward. As the “The Johnny Walker Experience” I have written several hundred songs, designed 1000’s of women shoes, “Jonathan Wayne Shoes” which I will be launching in the spring of 2012 along with my long awaited album called “Change the World.” I also have a clothing line called “God’s Field Eternal” that I hope to launch shortly after. Stemming from my love of fashion and my hero’s like Sean John Combs and Russell Simmons I pledge to use my talents for the good of starving children around the world and for those that suffer from epilepsy and hemophilia like my talented and gifted son Jordan, which he suffers from the blood disorder since birth and to bring on my daughter London as an executive of my company are all of my hopes for this year. With the love and support of my beautiful wife Justine, we are looking also to create a long legacy for our children and the needs of forgotten or mistreated children all around the world I assure you that “The Johnny Walker Experience” is an experience that the world must encounter.
