About Shaun Pynne

Shaun “Pynne” (pronounced Pen) Williams is a recording artist and businessman who has a mission to share his talents with the world and help others while he does it. Originally from Cleveland, OH, Shaun moved to NJ when he was in High School. He went to Queensborough Community where he was a full-time student (studying electronic music recording technology). Even while in school Shaun showed his determination to succeed. While he was a full time student, he worked a federal work study job in the college library, did valet parking on the weekends and interned for Def Jam simultaneously. After interning for Def Jam he went on to intern at Phat Fashions. Through his hard work and dedication he stepped up to marketing asst and ultimately become a marketing manager for Baby Phat Girlz by Kimora Lee Simmons.

Musically, he has worked with Def Jam’s first female MC, Nikki D on Team Strong projects and now is putting more focus into his solo music career. “Music has always been a part of my life and now I am giving it my full attention.” Shaun explains. “People have always noticed my talents. When I was younger I sang in the church choir. That is really what gave me the confidence to pursue music. It’s funny, although I didn’t become a Gospel Rapper, I know my talents are God Given. I actually didn’t start rapping until years later when I moved to NJ. Over the years I’ve worked with a few different squads but they weren’t that serious so I had to move on. I work with Nikki D on Team Strong right now as well as my solo artistry.”

Shaun is gearing up for the release of his new mixtape, “Shaun of the Dead”, which is due to be released in Fall 2011. With the release of this mixtape, Shaun is proving that he can be both behind the scenes and in front of the scenes and make it all work. “I’ve learned from the best to ever do it, they really gave me the formula for success”, says Shaun. He continues, “This mixtape will speak for itself”. On some of Hip Hop’s most tremendous beats, Shaun dominates them with his strong delivery and “tell ‘em how you feel” lyrics. With his hard work and dedication, Shaun Pynne is sure to quickly become a household name.
