| About Yung Maja | Yung Maja was born in Sacramento, Ca and moved to Reno, NV at an early age. Yung Maja inherit his music talent from his father that played in a music band. Yung Maja started producing at the age of 10 and also started writing lyrics with brother Holla Cash. Yung Maja grew up on 9th & Manhattan Street in Reno, NV that is up the street from the knowing drug spot in Reno "Pat Baker Park." Yung Maja started selling drugs at the age of 17 and he did not graduate high school. After an indictment occured in 2003 and older brother Holla Cash was being incarcerated, Yung Maja went to summer school to finish his credits to graduate. That he did. Yung Maja started taking his music seriously in 2005 which he started working on his 1st album "U R READY KNO." It was released May of 2006 which older cousin had distributed for sales. From 2006 to 2007 he was working on his colab mixtape with Holla Cash "EXPLOSIVE THE MIXTAPE" and also his 2nd album "UNFINISHED BUSINESS." The mixtape with older brother was released December of 2007. One week before its released Holla Cash had violated his probation and was sent to prison. Yung Maja continued with his second album but also was running into trouble with the law. April of 2008 he was arrested for discharging of a firearm. He was giving community service and was fined $1500.00. In July, his aecond album was released "UNFINISHED BUSINESS" and two weeks later he was arrested for Battery w/ deadly weapon. Yung Maja was looking at 15 years. On bail, Yung Maja worked on more music awaiting his incarceration. February of 2009 Holla Cash was released from prison. They had worked on their second mixtape that was never released. In 2009 Yung Maja was sent to Nevada State Prison to serve a 2-5 year sentence. Being released from prison in 2011, Yung Maja has worked on over 100 songs. "ON SOME OTHER S*** VOL 1 & 2 MIXTAPE" , "MAJA-CASH MIXTAPE" , Yung maja's 3rd album and many colabs. Yung Maja seen it all and been threw it all you can hear it in his rhymes. Been in the game for a long time just listen to his lyrics and let that speak for him check him out. |
