| About Calder Mclaughlin Band | Towards the end of 2011 we made a start rehearsing through a selection of Calder's songs in preparation for a launch night in February 2012. The band kind of fell into place; Benn had been working with Calder on various projects and they were performing live together with increasing regularity. They hooked up from time to time to develop some ideas for the full band sound around Calder's material. They needed a rhythm section. In steps Josh, who had played in Benn's previous band, Suga Beat and was hungry to get back out gigging. Bass player Dan, had answered an online ad some months prior and a chance meeting meant he got the call to come and try out for the role. We have never looked back and have now developed a great working relationship as a unit. With some fantastic local gigs under our belt, we are enjoying developing the sound continually and look forward to producing our debut album in the new year. |
