RICARDO ANDINO

Born in 18/03/48 in El Salvador, Central America.
Studied Composition in El Salvador National Conservatorium.
During the 60s he started to compose simple ballads and during the 70s
started to compose Classical Works including 2 Symphonic Poems
and some Chamber Music.
His Symphonic Poem “CHASCA” was performed in 1984 in the
National Theatre of San Salvador with the National Philharmonic and
National Ballet.
In 1985 he moved to Australia working as a Composer in Residence with
Margaret Barr Drama Dance from 86 until 89.
From 1990 until 1996 he taught Songwriting, Guitar and Singing in the Australian Institute of Music.
Since 1997 he continues teaching privately Guitar and Singing in the Blue Mountains, and also composing music in many different styles.
He also has performed throughout Central America and the USA.
In Australia he has been musical director of choral groups such as the Solidarity Choir, accompanist to renowned artists such as Jeannie Lewis, and guitar and voice teacher for many years at the Australian Institute of Music.
