My name is Tatiand Russell. I was born on November 29, 1982, in Detroit, Michigan. I was born in Detroit, and I have remained a Detroiter, inside and out. As a young, educated African-American female, I have found my writing and the opportunity to entertain as a release from the regular struggles of life as a single mother, “Doin’ it on my own and for my own." My life experiences have brought my deliverance, faith and courage to speak, write and perform for others. It has inspired me to a positive light for others, particularly my kids. I want to be that role model that many African-American children have to look in a magazine to marvel at. Although I believe that we are born with talent, it only becomes an asset if you work it, just as I have done with my writing and my music. I know that I have an ear for good sound and know what the public wants to hear – Good music. That’s what I give them (my audience), but that has all come about through the nurturing and learning process. I have worked with many different producers and artists since I took to the pen and later on to the mike. Each time I have learned from those professionals to become a better entertainer, not just a flash in the pan. (Let me stop! I first have to flash before I can be in the pan.) That’s just how I’ve plotted my growth, methodically. Learning, growing and developing as an artist is all I have wanted to do. It’s a passion, and if you don’t feel it like that, you shouldn’t be in the music/entertainment game. The people can feel when you are “‘Bout It”. I have been working with my new label Alliance Entertainment Group., for approximately, off and on, two years. I initially began working with my manager,Mr.Johnson. I have had to focus away from the problems in life that have sidetracked my development in the past. Alliance Entertainment Group has exposed me to new artists and introduced me to industry professionals, particularly Josh Freedman, who operate on a higher plain. This newfound relationship has really made me step up my game. As I aspire to work and collaborate with other artist, I know that I must constantly hone my skill As the first signed artist for Alliance Entertainment Group, I intend to set a standard that will promote the success of the label and my career, as an artist and performer. In my upcoming album, I will clearly define the Essence of Tygeraa on the signature album, “UNTOLD TRUTH".
