Remus were formed in 2004 from the remnants of a cover band from Weymouth, Dorset, UK. After playing the local pub scene for some time, Simon, James & Tim hired new virtuoso drummer Nick and decided to concentrate on writing and recording original material, the ideas came thick and fast and soon they began recording 'Fighting against the tide' their debut album. This was received to some aclaim by people the band knew and by people the band didn't! Which was strange. In August 2006 the band returned to the studio to record new material to form the basis of a new demo. The 'Broken/Misunderstood' single. Currently the band can be found extensively gigging in the Weymouth, Portland & Dorchester areas, road testing new material to be recorded for their as yet untitled second album. 'Fighting against the tide' is now available for download on Itunes.
