| About Carl Dennis | Carl Dennis Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Jingles & Commercials Born in New Orleans, Louisiana... Carl has been singing all of his life, his most recent work has been singing the melodically smooth falsetto tenor for the New Orleans based gospel group “The Masonic Kings” During this musical journey of his, he was lead vocalist for some of the most prolific and popular bands in the New Orleans area, such as ....Ardiche’, The Family Players and went on to record with The Band Windjammer. Carl Dennis was also a sought-after songwriter penning lyrics to various musical genres such as gospel, country western and R&B , his truest gift of writing is his ability to really capture and tell a heartfelt story through his lyrics and became a demanded lyricist for writing and performing songs that were specifically tailored for special occasions. Raised in the lower 9th ward of New Orleans, in a home that his Mother always filled with the word of God and a diversity of musical genres that ran the gamut……Brook Benton to Dinah Washington, Mahalia Jackson to Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder to James Cleveland, Ella Fitzgerald to Lawrence Welk, Count Bassie to Nelson Riddle, the Temptations to the symphonic music from Warner Bros cartoons and on…… All of these artists and various musical styles helped shape Carl’s sense of musical composition, and his overall appreciation for these beautifully different and interesting display of sounds. He attributes this consistent exposure to such a rich diversity in music as the catalyst that helped inspire him to pursue and develop his talents in this marvelous craft... Now coming full circle, he knows that it has been the hand of God that his guided his career thus far, and is now leading him fully into the realm of gospel music. Carl states “God has been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember, so it is my absolute joy to be able to write and sing about his goodness.
