| About Abavuseleli Bo Moya(Brass) | ABAVUSELELI BO MOYA BRASS BAND A Gospel Brass Group which was formed in 2011 by Lucky aka ‘Lunch’ Mngomezulu and Mpumy Kubu. The group consists of Lunga ‘Gwedash’ Gubelana, Themba ‘Mthimbana’ Nkosi, Lunch Mngomezulu and Mpumy K from Katlehong (Ekurhuleni). We are members of different churches around Katlehong and Soweto and we are also active in our churches as band members and we have also worked with different artists and groups which helped us to come up with this sensational new sound of brass fused with different instruments. We also worked with the likes of Mfundisi Ntshebe from Holly Gun, Thabiso Mkhwnazi, Holly St John’s Brass Band and St James Brass Band from Mzimhlophe. Our debute album was released in May 2012 under our Independent Record Label called Unreleased Productions. The album is titled Omamele Thapelo and it consists of soul lifting hymns such as Kanye Nawe, Sedi Laka, Ukholo Lwami, Bitso le Ratehang and other traditional songs that will surely lift the spirits of many people. We have also futured different artist such as Thabiso Mkwanazi on Bitso le Ratehang and Mandla Yende on Sedi Laka and Tshepo yaka. Our hit single Omamele Thapelo is currently getting a lot of air play from different radio stations and we are in a process of shooting our music video for the same single. The album is also available in different music stores nationwide. |
