About Andrew Francis Zunno

I grew up learning and playing many instruments from the guitar, piano, clarinet, and bass. I am a self-taught musician. At the age of 16 I began to perform in clubs and concert halls as a soloist (guitar and piano) and with many bands (playing guitar, keyboards, slide guitar, and bass). I have performed in many New York City venues such as the China Club, Tramps, The Bitter End, and the Back Fence (as a soloist).

Now after a career on stage, my passion has moved behind the band, writing songs for other musicians, lyricists, film, and television producers. My music has been played on "Extreme MakeOver Home Edition" and other Cable TV shows in the United States and Canada. I entered the 12th annual Great American Songwriting Contest in December of 2010 and my song, "It's Summertime", finished as a finalist in the instrumental category. There were 1600 contestants from 40 countries that entered and I finished 14th in the Instrumental category. I was very honored by this accomplishment.

I credit the incredibly talented musicians I have worked with that give my songs such life and for that I am extremely grateful. At this point in my musical career I just enjoy writing, recording, and playing with great musicians and most importantly being around good people who play music because they love it.
