Metrell Javonn Hurst, known simply as Metrell or Trell, born July 26, 1985, is an American singer, songwriter, model, and personal trainer. Born in Cleveland, Tn and raised in Athens, Tn, He has performed in singing competitions such as: American Idol (making it as far as Hollywood), X-factor, and The Voice.

Hurst was born in Cleveland, TN, the son of Karen Hurst. Trell was educated at McMinn County High School in Athens, TN, where he ran Track and Cross country winning state championships in each. Hurst graduated May 2003 where the Mcminn County High had a banner hung in his name.

Metrell started singing at the age of 5 in his church choir. After singing in school choirs, Trell decided to teach himself how to be a songwriter. After writing his first song titled "Day It All Changed", Trell's uncle taught him how to perfect his craft.

Trell's debut album "Reflections" will be released in 2013. His first single, from the album "I Can Do Better", is duet with Damien Crawford (singer/songwriter) and will be released June 2013. The two writers were inspired by the Broadway song "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better".
