I grew up in St. Thomas, Jamaica in the rural district of Dalvey. I am the first child of both parents. It was during the years of high School i started to recognise that i had a passion for music and soon ventured into the Genres of Dancehall and Reggae. It all started from putting pen to paper for me, writing deejay n sing-jay lyrics, reciting the lyrics everywhere i went whether it be @ home, school, or on the road. I often got alot of positive feedback that motivated me to dedicate alot of my personal time to the Art. I started to record @ age 12 when my friends and i decided to set up our own indoor studio, and as unprofessional as it was, I still enjoyed recording and hearing my voice on the playbacks. I often made efforts to voice @ other studios with different producers but i never got the quality that i was really looking for, as my ears told me that something was wrong as i compared my recordings against those that i heard on the radio and other professional artistes like Vybz Kartel, Shabba Ranks, Bounty Killa etc. It was only when i met Stevol 'Charlie Pro' Hibberts in 2008 did i start to produce the fine quality musical sounds that i wanted to hear. We formed the musical bond from there and from then on my music started to create buzz @ My school, on the street and eventually to other surrounding high schools and communities particularly with the song entitled "TEK TIME" Ft Devlon(me) & Kayla Di Diva (From Magnum Kings&Queens) . My name became the 'talk of the street'. Much so that it opened up doors to other deejays that wanted to contest with me in clashes. But Being the lyrical genius i am, I never turned down a challenge, simply because i never lose. DEVLON is one of Jamaica's most versatile Young Reggae/Dancehall Artist, Lyrically and versatile in content. Whether i Deejay or Sing i always try to put out the best in what i do because I dont do music for me, I do it for My Fans and all the people that are voiceless.
