About Marg and Andrew Lloyd

Marg Lloyd – Biography

Marg Anne Lloyd comes from a small town in Southwestern Ontario, Watford. Her parents lived on a small acreage just outside of town, where she grew up with 3 brothers. Marg enjoyed the outdoor life and especially enjoyed horse-riding.

Animals have always had a special place in her heart, and she spent many years working in a Veterinary Clinic. She has 2 children she loves dearly, a daughter Krista, and a son Michael.

She met Andrew while out west on Vancouver Island, and they found that they shared similar interests, especially music and travelling. Two years ago, they left Ontario, and moved to Springhill, Nova Scotia to begin a new adventure in their lives.

They play music at various places around northwestern Nova Scotia, entertaining at Churches, open mics, benefits and seniors facilities. Marg also sings in her church choir, and takes part in an annual Living Christmas Tree Choir.

They have recorded a CD called “Faith and Roses”, and are recording a second CD, which is going to have a Christmas Theme. It should be ready for release by early November 2013.

Andrew Lloyd – Biography

Andrew developed an interest in music at a young age, while living in England. He grew up listening to the Beatles, The Shadows, Cliff Richard, and was influenced by their music. He moved to Vancouver Island in 1963, and taught himself to play guitar.

Andrew is the father of 2 children, a son Haydn, and a daughter Sabrina.

Andrew plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, dobro, and enjoys playing a lot of styles, including folk, country, pop and gospel.
