Brian Martin & Worship 4 Life
There are no such things as coincidences, just divine life changing appointments and Brian Martin & Singers’ dynamic debut album Lifter Of My Head (Empowerment Project) is an example of one such appointment. With the GMTV Gospel challenge giving the genre a much-needed push, Lifter Of My Head is right on time. The inspirational 12-track set is the innovation of Brian Martin, a Trinidadian born songwriter, arranger - singer and the album promises to propel Gospel music to new dimensions, with one industry analyst calling it

Brian, a Christian for 20 years knew from very early on in his walk with Christ that he was destined to serve within the musical ministry. After an affair with the Rastafarian faith, Brian answered the call on his life and the Lord has been preparing him for the release of this album ever since. Set against a backdrop of strings and pianos, Lifter Of My Head is an amalgam of captivating scripture based songs. The superb musical arrangement is provided courtesy of producer Emmanuel Waldron who interpreted Brian’s vision, while the lyrics were all penned by Brian with the guiding hand of God.
“I am very reluctant to rely on writing songs from my own strength because you know that there’s a specific purpose for it when it comes from God. The songs normally come by a scripture verse or a particular word” Informs Brian.
The singers on the album are Niki Carless, who Brian has known for 17 years, Charlene Boyd, a church friend and Nigel Freeman. The fusion of voices is amazing and is demonstrated on the melodic infectious track Stand which talks about standing on the Word of God. The title track Lifter Of My Head adopts a more pop/RnB feel while I Will Trust reaches out to the Jazz lovers with its downbeat melody.
The album was a self-funded project with the response being phenomenal, resulting in many sales throughout the UK & internationally with Spirit Distribution - and a live sell out concert held on 26th September 2003 at Fairfield Hall, London.
Brian and the teams continuous determination to produce quality music has already featured regularly on key radio stations, including London's CHOICE FM, CROSS RHYTHMS, TALK GOSPEL and PREMIER CHRISTIAN radio, UCB Europe and Isaac FM 98.5 & Inspirational radio station in Trinidad & Tobago.

Brian Martin has won this year's Best Male Newcomer GEM awards.......... I would like to thank everyone who voted for me, God bless you for your support, love and also your votes!
The actual event was an amazing experience. I wasn’t aware until three weeks before the event that I had been nominated. I was very nervous and didn't think I would win. When my name was called I was so shocked I just gave a spontaneous acceptance speech thanking God for His goodness and a heartfelt thanks to all of my supporters!
It was recorded and will be shown on BBC and the GOD channel. Watch out for it!!
