About Knock Down Productions

Aaron James and the Adrenaline Junkees
AJ&TheAJ's formed in the summer of 2009 by Aaron Whisnant and Kenny Hogan. Together, the two guided former bands “Dezeray’s Hammer”, and “Albert Hill” to recording deals w/ Universal and Sony/EDEL. Following a 2006 split of DH, the two decided to take a long, overdue break from touring and recording. Inevitably, they became restless and their creative bond began to resurface. After months in a cramped bedroom studio bouncing ideas and many late night recording sessions, the record began to take shape. The new release is a 13 song collection of melodic/blues/rock delivered with a rhythmic southern stomp called Aaron James and the Adrenaline Junkees.

Dezeray's Hammer
A four piece funky rock band with a love for pop melodies and intense rhythms, Dezeray’s Hammer have finished their latest C.D. “The Past That Decorates Me.” After nearly a year of late nights in their dark and cramped self built recording studio the hard work has culminated in a ten track, energetic, and unique record which has been catching the ears of new fans and critics alike. With plans for re-release of their entire catalog soon, things are looking up for the boys from Spartanburg, S.C. who have seen their fair share good and bad in the 15 years they’ve been together.

Albert Hill
Most people immediately think blues when hearing "Albert Hill". Surprisingly, there was a four piece high energy rock band from Spartanburg, SC that went by the name "Albert Hill" in the mid to late 90's who released three independent records before disbanding in 1999. "Fistunderfinger" was recorded in 1994 inside the bedroom studio of singer/guitarist/songwriter Aaron Whisnant. This was the first of 3 releases from Albert Hill before splitting in 1999. This particular record lead to a recording contract with Universal Records in 1997 where the band re-recorded the entire record with grammy winning engineer Chuck Ainley at Star Struck Studios (Reba McIntyre's Nashville studio). The album was unfortunately never released after president Daniel Glass was released. Other independent releases include: “Machine Called Company” (1997) and “All-For-Me Theology” (1998).
