About Perfect

The history of "The Perfect" started in the middle of 90s. Then two cousins, Axl Jun Nosach and Jonny Dav, eventually had agreed with each other in the music-field and in sympathy with each other had called themselves "The Perfect Strangers". The talented teenagers chose the title of the "Deep Purple's" 1984-album consciously. The famous British are still the main idols of "The Perfect". Under the influence of the great band's performance the Soviet (by birth) guys had decided to set up their own band which would play their favorite hard-n-heavy.
It is not a real secret that strictly gifted musicians and other creators gotta go through a bunch of difficulties from the beginning… until the end. "The Perfect Strangers" as so many famous
musicians began fixing the equipment and instruments from improvised means. As they didn't have other stuff they made amplifier from old recorders and drums from buckets. At the time when they tried to collect that stuff the cousins also started the total search of other group-players. In December, 1996 they finally accepted Axl Jun Nosach as a drummer, Jonny Dav, leading vocal, guitar and Nils Red, bass-guitar, the second vocal. By the way, Nils' father used to perform with Dav's dad early in 1970s. As soon as they became a band, the boys got
their own rehearsal field. The place where they practiced was the gym at Vorkuta Mine-Economics College. Vorkuta is the name of the city in North of Russia. Dav and Nils lived there. Later Axl Jun moved out from the warm Ukrainian Alchevsk and joined the boys.
…They were inspired by there own desire to touch the favorite music and elicit sounds from the blessed instruments. They rehearsed and practiced mercilessly. Every evening until deep night, sometimes till morning and every weekend. Soon the musicians started to feel themselves confidently and decided to perform in front of an audience right in the college where they studied. There regular music pastimes brought to them success. In 1997 they could call themselves a professional band absolutely fairly.
Since then "The Perfect Strangers" widened the geography of their performances and started to play in every hall and club in the city.
Of course, the royalties of them were insignificant, but "The Perfect Strangers" could up-grade their instruments as they were totally devoted to their favorite pursuit - music.
It was a two-year-old group when the boys accepted Phil Maslov, a keyboarder. The widened group started to take part in almost all of the festivals in the region, including the well-known ones.
The local record-company - Golf stream - had no doubt that "The Perfect Strangers" had prospects and in 1998 released two singles of them (the tracks were also included in the collection "The Vorkuta Rock"). A few months later the company released the "The Prefect's" first album "The Black Lily". The second long-play of them came out in 1999. It happened without the company's help - under the musicians' own brand (It's called "Dracula")
Pretty little circulation of two albums brought to them some fame in the region though.
The real break happened in 2000. Then the guys won the prestigious festival "Sosnogorsk'2000" as the best rock-band in North of Russia, and Jon became the best guitarist of the year.
Since the beginning of them "The Perfect Strangers" went through infinite amount of scandals. During the concert-tours always happened something strange and unpleasant. Once straight before the concert the guys found out that some of the drums were lost. Later the musicians passed an accident in the middle of the road. Fortunately, no one suffered.
The endless stresses made them nervous and one terrible day some of them didn't bear it. In 1999 Phil left the band. A year later the same did Nils.
Jon and Axl as during the start stood together. The duet thought a little bit and definite the future plans. Under the first point in the list the put the search of new people. Under the 2nd - their leaving for Moscow. (They new a little the capitals audience. In 2000 they gave some storm in Moscow clubs:) Also "The Perfect Strangers" found that they're full of hard-n-heavy. It was the time to choice new musical perspectives.
Mr. Coyote became the new person. A time before this cool bass-guitarist played in a band "Blackberry". His coming to the new band was a real surprise for all people. But the practice showed that Mr. Coyote is not a casual figure in the band. Now there's no doubt that he personifies the courage of the band and blends with the musicians. With his coming (is that a coincidence or an appropriateness?) there was established a normal and healthy atmosphere in the group. The musicians began to work fruitfully - to create and perform. Of course, the one of the leading event in their life was their meeting with a very big musical authority in the North - Vladimir Bessler. His resume includes the establishment of the festival in Sosnogorsk, where the band at the first time announced about itself. Also he leads the record-company BMM Studio. The producer helped the guys to buy expensive instruments and became for them an inspirer.
With his help the band recorded the album "We Are R-n-R". Now the work seams to all confused and naive, but gets in minds because of a couple of cool tracks.
The last part of work with the album co incidents with the really hard period in their history. It was full of financial problems (it caused the end of work). The manager left the band, the search of the new sound crashed and so on… In spite of the stuff the band in his own way set up the 5th Anniversary in 2001. They passed the concert with the greatest success in their native city. The audience was shocked, the mass-media was too.
They had enough practice to go to the biggest festival in Sosnogorsk again in 2002. This time it was their coming on the stage in a star-form. They got some presents from the sponsors and authorities. Jonny was included in the judge team.
In the middle of 2002 the band got one more aim - they moved to Moscow. In the capital the musicians started to work on a new album under a pretty vulgar title "Between hips". It is an expressive traditional glam-meal album. But, unfortunate. The endless income problems and the mass in the management again made the result negative. "The Perfect Strangers" with pain in their hearts and hope left this work without the final.
In spite of everything, the great band courage and the real friendship made the band strong. In the middle of 2003 the guys came out from the long apathy, declined the name of their own as "The Perfect" and started to work for the first English-made album...
