| About Outstanding Records | Outstanding Records is an independent record company. It was founded in 1968 primarily to preserve and make available to the public the music of world-class pianist Paul Smith. A second label, “Morrhythm” (More Rhythm) was added nine years later to serve for our mainstream commercial releases. Lately we have added three labels. “School Band” and “Church Choir” are non-commercial labels designed to assist schools and churches in their fund raising activities, and to encourage young people to pursue careers in music. “Empowerment Discs” are educational and self-help productions. The company has continued to grow until it now offers the music of more than 120 artists in all genres. As a natural outgrowth of having artists produce original music, two publishing companies were created, Earl Beecher Publishing (BMI) and Beecher Music Publishing (ASCAP). We feel our mission is to provide a way talented artists can break into the music business. We encourage them to approach us. To publicize our artists’ work over the years, we have mailed out thousands of albums to hundreds of radio stations and produced hundreds of T.V. and internet radio shows that have been broadcast all over the world. We are grateful to the members of the music magazines, newspapers, organizations and broadcast media for the continuous support and encouragement they have given. |
