| About DJ John Straathof | Born and Raised in Edmonton Alberta, John Straathof grew up with a strong connection to music of all types. John first took to creating music in high school with aspirations as a singer/songwriter and the dream to join or start a metal band playing guitar. It was while experimenting with loop based music creation software that John discovered his affinity for electronic music. It was after purchasing a set of cd turntables that he really get hooked on djing. Today John is focusing on his music productions in an effort to create an original and inspiring live experience. Always rooted in high energy dance music his personal style gathers from all dance genres including electro, house and trance. In the future John will be working closely with artists across the musical spectrum for all sorts of collaborations and remixes. |
