About Christopher Aaron

Christopher Aaron has a mellow, laid back, full-flavored voice. It is faintly reminiscent of the Peter, Paul and Mary and early James Taylor sounds, both of which he praises.
Aaron is a natural for music. At age two he was harmonizing. His training has been informal, but as he explains, "I have a good ear and early on discovered I could figure harmonies in about half the time it took others to do it. I can also hear instrument parts in my head."
He prefers music with a poetic and musical value. One song he particularly lauds is "McArthur Park."
"The key changes are remarkable," he explains.
Other contemporary music he enjoys includes "Cat's in the Cradle," "Three Times a Lady" and "Dust in the Wind."
He not only sings and accompanies himself on the guitar; he also plays piano, harmonica, clarinet, recorder, charango, and synthesizer. (Exerpts from an article entitled "Lively Arts: Chris Aaron Turns to Music" by Charlene Winters, Arts Editor of the Daily Herald in Provo Utah in 1981)

...the outcome of this Provo production could be the beginning of a new wave in music.
Aaron...has blended a mixture of his own compositions with some old standards to produce music which hints of country and pop roots. "Minnesota Lady" and "Searchin' For Home" are reminiscent of the late Jim Croce's early releases.
Aaron's version of his title song, "All I've Got to Do Is Dream," is a formula all his own, but is surprisingly well done. Aaron mixes his percussions into a rythymic bond for his music. ...the album is rare easy listening effort many should enjoy.
A James Taylor follower, Aaron credits the singing star with much of his inspiration, and it shows in his music. Aaron is also big on harmonies, which is prevalent in "Mary Loretta," which he wrote in memory of his grandmother. Aaron harmonizes with two of his cousins in the piece which produces a quality blend of vocals.
...Aaron recorded the album after work(ing) at another job. The songs were recorded at the Rosewood Studio in Provo between three other albums and Aaron is pleased with the results.
A perfectionist, Aaron finds drawing on personal experience for most of his composing. His first love is recording, but performing is definitely on the singer's mind.
Aaron hails from a family of entertainers. His father hosted his own radio show and an uncle has done a television show in Florida.(Exerpts from an article entitled "Album Review: Chris Aaron Blends Pop and Country in Surprising Results" by Darlene J. White, Entertainer Editor of the Daily Herald in Provo, Utah, Monday, January 18, 1982)

A gifted lyricist, his words are only trumped by his music composition. Christopher Aaron serenaded dance halls, church groups and family gatherings through the 70's and early 80's. Now you can experience what his family and friends have long enjoyed.
