was born on january 8th, 1984 in morgantown, west virginia....southern born and midwest raised in indianapolis, indiana. i was asked recently when i fell in love with music and i would have to say that it was when i would visit my grandmother's house in berne, indiana around the age of 3. without fail, when ever we would visit, the first thing she would do is put me on her lap, take my hands and do the motions to a song called, "joy, joy, joy." the end of the song says, "my heart is bubbling over with joy, joy, joy." it made me fall in love with music because she sang it every time with the same feeling, the same inflections, even if it was the 30th time i asked her to repeat it. she really, really is just that joyful. i love when words and melody genuinely match up with the heart of the singer, with where they are in their lives, with truth and that is what i try to do. as i've begun to let go of fulfulling others expectations of what, "good music" is, my songs have poured out with more frequency and more heart. i would love for you to listen and like what i sing, but i'm going to play even if you don't. love!
