| About Unknown Recordz | Solja Cona Takin' Ova is a musician, sound producer and CEO of Unknown Recordz. Born in March 16, 1984, in the outskirts of Dippakunda, The Gambia, West Africa. As a youth, he was able to learn and complete his education from elementary to high school level. He started doing music at an early age when he was 4, by miming soundtracks of cartoons and disney movies such as Sound of Music, Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. At the age of 18 he joined the group X-Soljaz Clan, recording his first track at Bulldoff Recordz under the executive production of the late PMJ(R.I.P). From there his music career kicked off, because he was lyrically inspired and very talented in writing and composing songs, he was also an energetic fellow, regarding live performances with his group. In Febuary 2005, he had the opportunity to traveled to UK, where he was able to study, Banking & Finance at City Banking College and Music Technology at City College Manchester. Upon his return in September 2007, his group was in a declining stage, but Cona was in a rage and full of courage, motivating him to manage the pain and still fight for his dreams. Without PMJ, in the picture it was hard for him to continue what was started, but with his qualifications and experience in music, Cona decided to go Solo, by starting his own record company called, Unknown Recordz. In 2008, he started working on his Solo-Debut Album called 'Dreamz Come True', which is now ready and being released in the USA, where Cona is currently living and pursuiting his music career, in order to fulfill his dreams. It has been a very long, rough and tough road, for the young musician, who started with the hope of making it through with his group, but with many disappoints, Cona became stronger than ever, as a Solo-Artist, writing and composing his own lyrics, songs and producing everything by himself he was able to reach his goals. With the help of his Father and Mother, he was lucky to be their son, inspired highly by his family to obtain and achieve his dreams, with the vision and ambition to fulfill the mission of life. Last year, august was a living nightmare, for Cona, when he was stabbed 5 times by an unidentified soldier, resulting to severe injuries on his back, legs and right hand. But he was able to stand up and walk through it, which was a miracle from God, showing him that he will be able to go through and fulfill what he was destined to be, no matter what and no one can stop him, because the goodness and kindness in his heart, is bigger than the evil, men do. He believes in peace,love, unity and destiny and disbelieves treachery, hatred, jealousy and envy. He adapted the name Solja-Cona Takin' Ova in 2004, when he was really hustling, to make it through, by teaching the people of his neighborhood and homeland that life is what you make it, and being a soldier, is not only by wearing a uniform, or holding a gun. Life is a battlefield with daily struggles of survival, making us all soldiers at war trying to survive, though we are not seen or known for are efforts, this make us all to be Unknown Soljaz, and we will make it, if we believe to achieve. Therefore, Solja-Cona is the one and only musician, living the dream of truth, and one day or the other this will be revealed worldwide.
