| About Irene B.Porter | My name is Irene B. Porter I'm a Christain/Gospel singer and songwriter.I currently have one cd.on Songcast called "Have Mercy on the Children" This is the second album written and produced by me it contains nine songs.The first is called "Thanks for the Loan" it contains seven songs.I'm also a member of A.S.C.A.P.I'm an Indie publisher as well.My journey in all the above began in 1986 after I had a fall and received trauma to many parts of my boby including a concussion.I was in such agony ,songs to inspire me began to start flowing in my mind.I was as if someone was giving me words of hope to keep living. I have been singing all my life but, never knew how to write songs. I also cannot read music. All the songs came with the melodies. I didn't have to worry about forgetting the songs.To me this is a gift from God.I also am a poet, and am writing my first book It is titled " My Life and Gifts". |
