About Dj_Lucky

Dj Lucky is a study in contrast!

He'll wear a mowhawk for a while and then grow it out into a spiky, dyed blonde, 'do.

He has a gold tooth that was once a 22k gold grill, with a 6 point diamond, but he broke it because he kept having to bend it back into shape to stay put on his front tooth. 22K gold is REALLY soft.

Now, if he wants to pimp the gold and diamond tooth, he sometimes superglues it to his front tooth.....it fits and stays in place now better than ever!

He LOVES Fila velour sweatsuits and adidas and Nike warmups along with his many Jordan, adidas, AND 1's and K-Swiss kicks! He looks a lot younger than he really is and I KNOW he LOVES THAT TOO!

He still listens to and LOVES old school rap, like, Snoop, Dre, Warren G, The Beasties, House of Pain, Big Daddy Kane, Mos Def, Nas, Shabba, and Slick Rick amongst many others.

He also likes Tool, Stone Temple Pilots, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Steely Dan, ELO, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Neil Young, Disturbed, Elliot Smith, and many more, too diverse to name.

He uses a pimped-out Akai MPC 1000, 128MB memory upgrade, 2GB CF card for SOME of his many samples, Akai MPK 49 Midi controller, Reason 4.0 and Audacity 1.3 Beta to lay down tracks and beats.

His beats are unique and he believes this sets him apart from the same old thing everyone else is doing.

If you want to be noticed or stand out, he suggests buying his album or one beat of his at a time, because most of his beats are instrumentals so they can be chopped and screwed, rapped over, or they can be used just the way they are.

He also welcomes lyricists, rappers or singers to collaborate with on some unique tracks and would love to develop another album with other producers and collaborators as well.

Think about this, when Eminem first came out, everyone jumped on his band wagon and copied his style. Here's an opportunity to set a new trend and be the ones whom others will emulate in the future.

Definitely take the time to listen through the entire album and appreciate the difference, how these tracks stand on their own, and be willing to take a risk and move in a new direction.

Whether alone, or in a collaboration, these beats can push you to the forefront of the hip hop scene. If you can write and rap, these beats are great for you, set up in a standard 8-bar intro, 16-bar verse, 8-bar chorus, 16-bar verse, 8-bar chorus, 8-bar break, 16-bar outro. They lend themselves easily to being chopped and screwed or to lay a vocal track over them just as they are.

And if you are interested in collaboration, don't hesitate to reach out. Help set a trend and collaborate on something others will envy.

DJ Lucky has all the equipment necessary, both hardware and software, 1,000's of samples and one-shots, anything you could add would be a bonus. He definitely is in the market for a lyricist/rapper to collaborate with on a regular basis. He is easy going, but he takes his craft very seriously and wants to work with people just as committed to having a future in the music industry as he is.

So, COME ON! Let's do this thing!! If you want to get noticed or if you just want to get started, RIGHT HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY!! TAKE IT!!!!!! I did, and I have to say, I'm glad I did!
