About Joe Don Silvers

Joe Don was born and grew up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina. He is of French and American Indian ancestry and is highly articulate and multi-talented. He is a striking figure on stage at six feet two inches tall with black hair and blue green eyes. His voice is deep and resonant, and he has a unique charm and style that dazzles an audience.
Encouraged by many of the entertainers, Joe Don moved to Nashville, opened a new recording studio where he exhibited still other talents, that of engineering and producing records. Two years later, he again formed his own road show, the Nashville Junction, and together with the talented Lois Johnson, traveled and sang his songs to people in every part of the country, including several overseas tour and seven foreign countries.

He is an exceptionally fine songwriter and has had several songs recorded by well known artists. A few of them being Barbara Mandrel, Charlie Pride, Janie Frickie, Lois Johnson and Willie Nelson. A couple of Joe Dons favorite self penned tunes, Come On In And Let Me Love You and Loving You Will Never Grow Old, were recorded by his singing partner, Lois Johnson, and reached the top of Billboards Country charts. During the late 1970s Joe Don and Lois Johnson toured with the Hank Williams Jr. road show for four years.

Joe Don received awards for the Independent Record of the Year for his self penned recording of a tribute to his long time friend Roy Acuff, entitled Tribute To The King Of Country Music. He also wrote, produced and recorded for Step One Records, a patriotic album entitled American Heroes including a music video in honor of all of our past and present men and women in our armed forces from World Wars I through Desert Storm.

In 1995 Joe Don and Lee Greenwood were invited and provided the entertainment for the American Legion National Convention in Pittsburgh PA., for 75,000 people.

When he is not on the road, Joe Don enjoys writing new material and working countless hours in Nashville recording studios producing new products for his Nashville based publishing company, Eno River Music.

Multi-talented, yes, but number one talent is his way with a song on any stage, and his ability to move an audience many times to a standing ovation and always asking for one more song.

Joe Don released a self penned album of great Country Songs, one of which was dedicated to the late and great Bill Monroe, in the fall of 2002.

Perhaps you have never seen or heard Joe Don when he has appeared on such stages as the Ernest Tubb Theater, Network TV, State and Local fairs, ballrooms, coliseum spectaculars, or the Grand Old Opry.

If not..... You Will !!!!
