Bankedoutt Entertainment was founded on Feb 17, 2006. The purpose and mission of the company is to bring quality aspiring artist to the local market. Bankedoutt Entertainment offers services such as song copyrighting, song registration, non traditional marketing, music marketing and promotins (non-traditional), management for certain clientle, marketing and promotional consultation for music projects or business ventures, and business administration services. Bankedoutt Entertainment encourages young or older aspiring artists to chase their dreams. Everyone needs some direction and guidence. If you are the type of individual(s) that do not mind hard work, dedication, and are/is serious about your craft, then you will need help in putting together your team. The majors are focused on who has a fanbase already, has an established buzz, has produced and recorded their own records and can ship 500,000 units in week.To be realistic about your musical goals one needs to do the research. Over 3,000 titles of cds are release each month, thats an average. Less than 1% of them go platinum (1,000,000) units. Less than 3% of them even reach gold status (500,000) units. Research also indicates that 428 million units sold in 2008(Nelson soundscan). Considering 3,000 titles over a year equals 36,000 units pushing 428 million copies averages 11,888.888etc apiece. Thats not that much money split evenly across the board but we all know that is not the case. I heard on a video link concerning music cd sales that in 2006 only 33 albums went platinum. o.oo4% that number represents the percentage of going platinum that year if only 36,000 titles were released. According to the source, over 55,000 cds were released that year. Selling 1,000 to 3,000 units is considered very successful for indie labels. We just needed to put it in prespective for you.
