About Robby Thinman

Robby Thinman (and The Last Ghosts Of The Highway a.k.a. The Nasty Angels) knock out original choonage in and around Newcastle (north east England).

Robby works with Mikey Winslade (on Violin and sometimes Bass), Louis The King (on Saxophones), Mack The Finger (on additional guitars) and a variety of Bass/Drum combos whenever they can be persuaded to attend.

The Nasty Angels try and purvey original songs to the general public via the internet, compact discs and, most of all, live performance, although, around here gigs are largely taken up by bands doing "covers" ! eeeeeek - covers are for karaoke singers, when you do your own material you are in the big game !!

The 1st album up for sale here (Robby Thinman and The Last Ghosts Of The Highway) is a retrospective collection of songs from the period 2005 to 2010. Most tracks are already available for free download (I shouldn't tell you that should I ?) on the Prosity Records label (www.prosity.blogspot.com). They are mostly Lo-Fi (i.e. not "Studio Recordings" - mostly done live at various homes with a portable recorder) with Mikey Winslade on Violin, Louis The King on Saxophones and Mack The Finger on Additional Guitars. There are also a couple of live tracks and the last track features a studio backing by the inimitable Paul Jackson at The Delaney Rooms Studio, as well as some additional saxophone from Louis The King.

The 2nd album (Ghost Dreams) is a collection of songs that have been hanging around recently and clamouring for "release". They are mostly The Thinman and guitar, with some contributions from LouisTheKing on Saxophone, again recorded as demos. Money raised from sales of this album will go to Prosity Records, in gratitude for their continued support of acoustic music, new music, new songs and relatively unknown artists. Even if you don't buy this album you should check out Prosity Records, download some (or all) of the excellent freely downloadable music and (hopefully) make a donation to support this enterprise.

Finally, you can probably find Thinman stuff (other than that on official "albums") for free download at www.soundclick.com/thinman.

Thanks for looking and listening.

SUPPORT FREE MUSIC - cheers and hugs
