About eWs
All of the songs on California Nights were inspired by my experiences that started in my backyard in Southern California, and all the way around the world.
Songs like Cruzin were created from memories of driving the canyons of Los Angeles with friends. Late at night we would rendezvous from Malibu to Lauryl Canyon and on to Mulholland Drive. You could see the city lights of the San Fernando Valley from the "Top of the World", all the way to Hollywood Hills.
Many of the songs on this CD were inspired by my travels around the world and within my inner spirit; from the sun drenched Bougainvilleas of the south of Spain, to the rivers of South Korea. The sounds of the Costa Rican jungles and cosmic jingles ring out in a profound sound that mark the stains on my existance in this vast universe. I have been moved by many people from all around the planet Earth.
Songs like Metamorphosis are compilations of movements I have created to share my interpetation of the cycle of life and death. Desert Flower is the war in the desert that has not yet seized. While the blood of so many spills in the sand, the head of the serpent is fed by such anguish and despair.
Guanacaste Groove is about a man that came to me in a butterfly farm I onced worked at in Costa Rica. I later gave this gentleman the ride of his life in a four wheel drive through the back roads of the Guanacaste region of northern Costa Rica. I will always cherish the memories in those forests.
Ray of Hope is the faith of many in Turkey, Armenia, and all the neighboring countries challenged by their ideological synchronicities.
Drifter describes a nomadic lifestyle, like the one I have lived. However, it is definitely inspired by the song Indian Warrior. This journey began at Old Chief Joseph's grave in Joseph, Oregon.
Planet Cries for Help is the voice of Mother Nature trying to communicate to the human race and its neglect of this paradise we have turned into Hell.
A Loving God is the almighty love that all ethical people are entitled to while living on and leaving the planet. All of life passed before me in one instance when I improvised the guitar to this tune.
Stay tuned for more of my song inspirations that may not have been included here today.
