About steve toll

Steve Toll is a classically trained multi-talented musician and composer. He studied with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and attended the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia in 1970. Mr. Toll also studied jazz composition in 1975 with world-renowned jazz pianist Gerald Butler. In 1980s while living in New York City, Steve Toll worked as a vocal coach for many professional singers. Currently Steve Toll has been performing as a solo musician accompanying his mellow vocal style with the rich, full sound of his guitar and recording his original compositions in his beachside home studio. He plays several instruments including, violin, guitar, mandolin and keyboards and has developed an intimate performing and vocal style in which he communicates directly to the heart and soul of his audience. Mr. Toll has performed for audiences throughout the United States for the past 25 years and has compiled a repertoire of music, which spans several generations. Mr. Toll has also served as a member of the Advisory Board for the Arts Program for the state of Vermont and as adjunct faculty for various musicology programs in the SUNY college system. Currently Mr. Toll is a speaker for the National Alzheimer's Association and conducts workshops on the therapeutic use of music.
Steve Toll also performs school assembly programs for elementary and middle school students and has been teaching, violin, guitar, keyboards, musical performance styles and vocal coaching for the past 25 years. Many of his students have gone on to perform professionally.
