| About InkzVoltE | Julio Guillen (Inkzvolte) was born in New Orleans but raised in Cancun, Mexico. Julio started composing, singing, and playing guitar at 13. He was influenced early in his life by bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Jamiroquai, Carlos Santana, Radiohead, Bob Marley, etc. Inkzvolte's first introduction to the electronic music scene was at age 16 when he attended a psychedelic trance party. Even though he enjoyed electronic music very much, his career kept heading towards rock and jazz. In 2007 Inkzvolte enrolled in Full Sail University in Orlando Florida. After graduating as a audio engineer in February 2008 he moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to study Bossa-nova, a Brazilian style of jazz. 3 months after Inkzvolte moved back home to Cancun where he made 4 albums out of which only one will be released in his own indie label Autentik Dystrikt Records, which he began with long time friend Arturo Marcelin. Inkzvolte spends most of his time in the studio producing electronic music and composing jazz songs on his guitar. So for those asking what Inkzvolte means, he describes it like this...
