About Tim Carr Music

Born in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains of central New York in 1968, Tim Carr felt an almost immediate pull toward music. His first guitar received as a birthday gift from his Grandmother at age 4, he cut his musical teeth on classic country and folk songs.
After graduating from high school, Tim joined the US Marines, and carried a guitar with him as he travelled the world, sharing his homespun style of song-crafting with people from many different cultures. His direct approach and personal presentation, drawing his audiences into his songs and making them feel like a part of the show, was well-received everywhere he went. In six years, he circled the globe four times, playing everywhere from Europe to the Middle East to the Far East, and all points in between!
Returning home after his tour of duty, Tim re-established himself in the local music scene, and rekindled a life-long love affair with hometown crowds. In his spare time, he began to learn the craft of music recording, and self-released his own CDs to adoring fans.
Tim's music likes to laugh, to tell a story, and to make the listener think, and even feel. Tim has often said that, "If I can make my audience feel just a little of what I felt when I wrote the song, or when I PLAY the song, then I've done all I can with music, and that's the best music will ever be".
