| About Akre | The Future of UK Rap..! Hungry for music..! Bursting with talent..! Enraged with enthusiasm..! This can only descibe ONE UK rapper... AKRE!! Jason 'Akre' Kane is a rapper, songwriter & musician born and raised in South London. He is set to be the next best thing to come out of the UK. Currently performing all over London Akre is no new comer to the stage, originally starting his music career in 2000 when he founded the collective GC (Garage Connection). During this time the collective were major players in the garage scene, doing regular PA's at some of London's most prestige clubs such as Ceasars & Imperial Gardens. In 2004 the collective decided to go their separate ways & Akre began his solo struggle and continued making a name for himself in the ever growing UK music scene. Akre is continuously throwing himself into the mix, not prepared to let anyone or anything get in the way of his aspirations. Taking part in UK Unsigned & Talent In Your Community showcase tours, performing at a variety of different venues; Turning Point festival in Camden's famous Roundhouse studios and The Theatre Royal in Stratford, to name a couple, aswell as getting his voice heard on pirate stations in and around London!
