| About Clean Country | ARTIST SUMMARY Genres: Country / Christian/Gospel Label: Independent Management: Don Schink and David VanBibber ARTIST BIO I (Don) have been a singer/songwriter/guitar player ever since I was young, mostly for my own enjoyment and sharing with friends and churches as a part of my ministry. Then some unusual opportunities came my way that I was not look for nor expecting, beginning the winter of 2010-11. The next thing that I knew I was in Nashville, where I performed briefly at the Hard Rock Cafe and for a private group on the Grand Ole Opry stage, as a brief acoustic performance. I have had the privilege of going to Nashville for extended trips for song writing workshops, Nashville Songwriter's Association International's Spring Training, CMA's Music Fest, networking with a variety of artists, publishers, etc. Due to a variety of requests, I am in the process of releasing my first single, to be followed by a CD which will include both country as well as country gospel songs this fall. I am especially grateful to my friend and producer, David Van Bibber, for jumping in to work with me on this project. His talent shines clearly in our recordings as we co-labor to bring this project to completion. You will hear him performing both vocals and instrumentals right along with me. . My band, "Clean Country," seems to be ever-changing as we evolve into what we feel that the Lord is leading us to do. I decided to use the name "Clean Country" to include the various ones who have a part in doing what we love so much. I chose the name to reflect our goals in music, to provide clean, wholesome country, as well as country gospel music, with some other variety thrown in from time to time.
