Artist Bio

Desmond Hampel was born in Esperance Western Australia. Des grew up on an outback station. AS a child Des Studied Classical piano. AS a youth Des competed horses. As a young man was a successful farmer. Des was diagnosed with a mental disorder but went on to pioneer disabled work and emerse himself in poetry and the arts.
