Artist Bio

Born Marlaena Kelsey Moore in Vancouver, BC, Mars, as she is known to her friends, relocated to Edmonton, AB with her family in 2000, when she was seven years old. She picked up the guitar at the age of twelve when her dad's decision to learn to play meant there was one lying around the house. Mars learned to play guitar the way she's learned anything she's had an interest in, from ice-skating to riding a unicycle: she taught herself.
