Shine Recordz was established June 1st 2001, but at the time was named O Dawg Inc. Records. It started as a small set up, so that founder and owner Randy Loushin could promote his album without being an unsigned artist. A lot of shows and venues required the artists to be signed to a label to enter. So Loushin trademarked the O Dawg Inc. Records name, and partook in the events.
