Allan is a lead worshiper/minister and Biblical counselor in Paris, Texas.

Allan played the role of "Sonny" in the 1983 film "Tender Mercies" starring Robert Duvall. Duvall gave him his first guitar at age 10 and Allan taught himself to play.
