Josh Klein was born and raised in Rockville, MD. At the early age of 7, he married music after getting it pregnant behind a dumpster.

He found himself studying with the greats of the Baltimore and DC scene, including John Zahn, Walt Johns, Rob Macomber and Paul Wingo.

Josh played in every band he could find, and after playing everywhere he could in his home state, decided to move on to the fine city of Chicago, where he attended DePaul University and studied under more
