About Alex Brighenti

I Play twelve string guitar, six string guitar, electric guitar and some keyboard. I do my own vocals. I have been involved in music for over 25+ years in a semi-professional way. Some years back I was involved in doing the vocal tracks for the album "The Slipping of a Day" with my good friend Bill Gillham. Bill's band is called Cirrus Bay. The album since its release in June 2008 has gotten some nice reviews from some independent distributors and progressive label reviewers. Update: Cirrus Bay has released a new 6th album as of June 2019....it is entitled The Art of Vanishing. In May 2014 Cirrus Bay released their 4th album....The Search For Joy! In the of Fall 2016....Cirrus Bay released their 5th commercial album entitled Places Unseen. To learn more about Cirrus Bay please visit their myspace website www.myspace.com/cirrusbay or just click on the Cirrus Bay logo in the my friends location here. Bill and I have done many music project collaborations in the past. He has also been a guest on a couple of my songs currently on this site. Mirthwood Forest was recorded back in the Fall of 1991. His medieval instrumental touch to this song gives it a Robin Hood sort of feel. It is still one of my favorites! The other Song entitled Moonlight on Water was also recorded in the Fall of 1991. This one has more of a romantic feel to it and people still give us positive comments about it today. Bill helped in the music arrangement and the actual recording of the song in the studio. I currently have a couple of albums worth of music available at this time. The best material is for an album entitled "Windows of Hope" which is no longer available except perhaps by request. In March of 2009 I wrote a song entitled Neptune's Garden. It is about a Mermaid luring sailors to her realm. In Dec 2010 I came up with the lyrics for a new song entitled The Aviator. My friend Mehrdad Azadi aka Silence encouraged me to take this song into the studio. Silence is a producer, musician, recording engineer...etc. We worked several weekends from late Feb through May of 2011 to come up with the great track. Then in the summer of that year we decided to add a video. The music video is now out on YouTube. Please look up Alex Brighenti and The Aviator video should be there. A few years later Mehrdad and I completed another song entitled Long Blonde Hair. We released this track in Feb 2013. It is available for download from Amazon, iTunes and from Songcast along with the previous track. I have to say thanks to Mehrdad and 92nd Place productions for all their hard work in putting these projects together. I also want to thanks to Michael Brighenti and Limelight studios for their great artwork for both The Aviator and Long Blonde Hair Cover art. Finally I want to say thanks to all those who submitted their kind comments on the music that we have put out. I appreciate them and I will usually respond back to you in kind. By the way....the song Indonesia (which was on Myspace but no longer available) is dedicated and was inspired by my wife Maria who is from Jakarta. Most of my material was recorded in a home studio environment. This then is why the quality of some of the recordings has more of a demo type feel. If interested in purchasing the CD "Windows of Hope" please email me at Alex.Brighenti@comcast.net and we can exchange information. Update: On April 17, 2022 my good friend Bill Gillham passed away. He was the front man for the prog group Cirrus Bay! Cirrus Bay's last album was entitled The Art of Vanishing and was released in Sept of 2019. Thanks for visiting my site and for your interest!
