About RMC Music

Singer/songwriter Malachi Cush comes from Co.Tyrone in the North of Ireland. A cousin of Ireland's queen of country music Philomena Begley, Malachi is no stranger to Irish folk and country music. The Timeless Traditions album brings Malachi back to his roots with favourites such as Step It Out Mary, Spanish Lady and I Wish My Love Was a Red Red Rose. He duets on a memorable rendition of Peggy Gordon with another up and coming folk artist from Donegal, Deirdre Bonner.

In 2008 Malachi was introduced to Joanne Cash, sister of the late, great Johnnie. Joanne travelled to Northern Ireland to join Malachi on a concert tour of Ireland. During her visit Joanne duetted with Malachi and recorded the single Blessed Be The One, written by Malachi and Irish composer Garth McConaghie. Subsequently Malachi was invited to Nashville to promote the single and spend some time in visiting Cash Country.

His latest album is of a collection of spiritual worship songs entitled 'Songs For the Soul'. The album will go on general release October 2011 and once again reflects the words and music closest to his heart.

Malachi also presents music programmes on local radio and and television.
