| About Jason David | Jason David (born Jason David Maddox; April 24, 1974) is an American recording artist and entrepreneur. Born in Berkeley, California, he studied music and art. He currently holds a California real estate license and conducts business under MADDOX REAL ESTATE. Music was a part of his life at a very young age. He started playing the trumpet in elementary school, which led him to the Wind & Jazz Ensembles at Pinole Valley High School in Pinole, California. He learned the French horn and played in many of the schools musicals. In his junior and senior years, he led the Pinole Valley Marching Band as the high school Drum Major. In 1990, Jason David began writing music with close friend Matt Gaspari. Together with a notebook and a piano, they would collaborate until all hours of the night. Jason would write lyrics and sing the melodies while Matt arranged the music on the piano. One day with the help of a band director from a local college they found home to a recording studio, which would produce four songs. One of the four songs, called "As One" was published and distributed by an independent record company under a Major Label. The song also appeared on many local Bay Area radio stations. This would place Jason David among Grammy worthy musicians in the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) where he became a voting member and still is to this day.
