| About LoKee | Dyneer Dementrice McCoy( born August 19,1988 in Atlanta,Ga) he was given the nickname Lokee by his family, growing up, Lokee was hardened by the many difficult experiences he was put through. His neighborhood, known for violence, and drugs, to others it was a ghetto, to residents, it was life. At 16 years old, he moved in to live with his grandmother after his mother kicked him out. Growing up with no farther figure and without a strong guidance, Lokee turned to drugs and crime. After going from school to school, couch to couch Lokee picked up writing and began to get serious about his music. Coming from a single parent home, dad on drugs, trying to finish school, and battling with his new born heart condition, not to mention loosing three important people in his life, it was truly a difficult time. Living in Atlanta, he had no contract, no real means of exposure. After being incarcerated, Lokee once again turned back to the streets. At this point, he felt as though he was a failure. However, fate lent Lokee a hand, and lokee had an opportunity to join an up and coming record lable called Ref Smoke Ent. His future plans is to deliver a positive message letting people know, you can achieve and be somebody and its not all about the gliss and the glamour, staying humble, consitant, and ambition is the key. |
