About Rapturebeats

Larry D. Boyd, also known as Rapture 101 and D.J. Shyheim, currently resides in San-City, North Carolina. His desire to present music as an artist, musician, and producer is a passion. He started in the music game as a D.J. doing local parties in 1994. Traveling across seas he did opening performances for Christian, which were under Roc-A-Fella at the time, Goodie Mob, Bad Azz after a Snoop Dog Concert, and worked with upcoming artist in Japan. While in Japan, he was a D.J. in Clubs such as Club USO, Club Veitti, Club Heavens in Yokohama, and Club Circus. He focused on independent groups called Southern Elements which starred the Noblist and Hershey Loc. As time expired in the military scene D.J. Shyheim moved back to United States and started back promoting mix tapes and cd's in 2000.

He originally came up with the name Halftime Productions in 2001 and started working on making his own beats and working with artist such as Reality, Golden Gunnz, Nasty Nev, Spydaman. In 2004 he dropped his first local artist mixed cd entitled Flavakus which featured Nasty Nev, Golden Gunnz,Reality,Violater from S-Squad, and himself Dream King aka DJ SHYHEIM aka Rapture. He really began to focus on the music career and background. He decided to join talent 2k. Halftime Productions did heavy advertisement in the local area from mixtapes to local cd's. From all of this he took his poetic knowledge and started writing and producing his own tracks. He wanted to see if that someday he could put food on the table for himself and for all that he connected with. The struggle still continues.

In 2005 he entered a talent showcase and won first prize off of his first solo hit-"Let's Go to the Show ". It was performed for embracing sisterhood. Throughout all the motivation from winning he continued on and came out with a street album entitled "It Was All a Dream"- produced by him, The Dreamchild. Of course this was the rough copy. He hooked up with Taxi and started pushing his beats and songs off the album. Good feedback provided by supporters came in handy. He added more songs for an upgrade and made his album official and advertised it on broadjam.com/dreamchild.

D.J. Shyheim writes his own songs, makes his own beats, and promotes his own material. He is waiting to see if somebody out there is willing to show him how he could make that next step and how he could make every step hotter. So now it is Halftime Production and whomever he collaborates with until somebody finally realize there is a lot of potential in these artist and himself. Until somebody picks him up... He will continue to strive to do the best he can do because music is his life!
