About Kefia Rollerson

Kefia Rollerson a native of Philadelphia, PA began singing at a very young age. Kefia always had a love and passion for music. As she began to grow into a young teenager, she realized that God had given her a unique voice. As a PK (preachers kid) Kefia started to travel with her father all over the United States singing at different banquets, churches and conventions. This is where the journey begins with the group Ke’Sharee. The group that included Kefia’s childhood best friend and her sister. Ke’Sharee was granted the opportunity to sing for Nate Morris from Boys II Men. As they continued singing they had the opportunity to perform at Gamble and Huff now known as Philadelphia International Records. The group was very successful and was recognized in the city wide competitions and won talent shows, trophies and cash prizes. As time progressed Kefia also started her first recording sessions. As opportunities presented themselves she later did her first live recording with her high school music teacher Mr. Gregory Allen with the featuring song "God’s Presence”. Then Kefia began to sing with her family Lady Rollerson and Passion, they had the opportunity to travel to Chicago to attend the “Gospel Focus Competition”, where they came in as the final 13. It was hosted by the entertainer Lexi. The competition included judges such as Lonnie Hunter, Canton Jones, and Jojo Pada. After a lot of thought Kefia decided to become a solo artist. Kefia was a featured artist for the March of Dimes for Cerebral Palsy to show support in her community. Kefia was also a featured artist at the following venues; Bethany Baptist Church, Deliverance Evangelistic Church, Warm Daddy’s, Relish, Fire House Cafe, World Live Café, and many more. Kefia also had the privilege to be a back round vocalist for Jessica Reedy. Kefia then advanced to two stage plays “When it Rains” and "It Ain't Over Til God Says Its Over", where she sung the featured song "Stand". Kefia was selected to have two of her songs “Questions" and "Scream” to be placed on the Del-State University Compilation Album. Kefia also took the chance to try out for Sundays Best when they came to Philadelphia. Kefia made it to the final audition rounds where she was then chosen to be an alternate for the competition. Kefia was recently recognized for runner-up in the “Best Inspirational Singer of America Contest” for 2012, where the judges included James Fortune, Jessica Reedy, Kerry Douglass and Hezekiah Walker. In 2013 Kefia was chosen as a contestant for Sunday Best Season 6 and is now the Runner Up for SB6. With all the hard work and dedication, Kefia has birthed and accomplished 2 Mix tapes, a recently released EP; entitled "Don't Box Me In", and has written and produced for various artists throughout the Tri-state area. From the EP her song entitled "How Great" was chosen to be in rotation on Gospel Highway 11 radio station in Norristown, PA. Kefia music is also being played on internet radio stations such as; Look Up Radio and Vision Radio Show. So look out, eyes have not seen and ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the hearts of men what the Lord has in store for Kefia Rollerson.
