About Beneath All That Burns

Beneath All That Burns (BATB) is an Alt. Metalcore band from Roanoke, VA. Yes we say band because we like to be optimistic. You see, right now all that you're hearing is Mikey Leeway. He creates drum patterns on a sequence and records them onto his Tascam DP-008 8 Track Recorder. He then lays the guitar parts and soon after vocal parts. "Living in a place like Roanoke, it's extremely difficult to find anyone my age that has the same passion for the same music. Which is all I want..." Said Mikey when asked why he is by himself. He went on, "I really don't want to be by myself, it's awful. In an ideal world I'd be in a 5 man band as vocals cause that's what I love to do." Mikey was born and raised in Central Florida where he picked up guitar at age 11 and drums at age 15, and from there vocals as well. Starting off with an electric he knew immediately that he wanted to do music like artists Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, and even Disturbed. Now he resides in Roanoke, VA and writes and records his own music along with some covers.
