| About Regine Garnier | Régine Garnier hails from the beautiful Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe where she was born. She is the youngest of 11 brothers and sisters who has also come from very humble beginnings. At age 11 she moved to the French capital ofPariswhere she began her high school education. Over the years she became a top student and eventually graduated at the International School Tourism. She later moved toLondonto pursue her career in music. Since her childhood Régine has been very attached to music seeing it as the one thing that allows her to be herself evoking emotions that only songs could bring. At a very early age she started to write her own songs and with the encouragement of her family she grew more infatuated with her love for music. Régine Garnier has an amazing musical repertoire, with a variety of tastes. Her favourite artists are a result of her multicultural musical influences; (Caribbean, African, Jamaican, English and American). It allows her to forge her own musical personality, which is sought after today. In 2007, she gets a big break by auditioning for her first film inLondon, and successfully gets a primary role. She stars in the short film that is called “Black Ink”. The premiere of the film was celebrated inLondon Leicester Square, in a cinema packed with up and coming British film stars. Her constant persistence to succeed lead her to enter a contest to sing in for the Royal Family at the “Queen’s Golden Jubilee”. Conquered by her noticeable talent, the jury chooses her to perform for the event. The celebration takes place every year to commemorate the ascension of Queen Elizabeth II. She is currently working on her debut album, working with different producers. The album promises an exceptional and unique feel, with new musical horizons. |
