| About The James Berry Project | Hello, My name is James Berry, and I am singer/songwriter originally from Texas, but call North Carolina home after my tour in the United States Air Force. I currently own and operate a record label, named The James Berry Project, which focuses on the Contemporary Christian and Praise and Worship genres of music. To date, I have composed 71 songs and co-wrote five songs. I have plans to release all the music I have written on albums. God has given me a passionate drive for praise and worship music which allows me to travel from church to church and inspire a relationship with Jesus in the hearts of people through music. In 2009, my wife Pamela and I began attending Unity Fellowship Church where I was offered the Praise and Worship Leader position by Pastor Kelvin Gurley. Because my roots are founded in music and songwriting, Pastor Kelvin expressed an interest in allowing the praise band, The Voice of Unity, to sing and perform songs I have composed. As ideas of recording the songs on albums were discussed, Pastor Kelvin suggested labeling the group, The James Berry Project. Because of Pastor Kelvin’s suggestions, recording began in February 2012 in my home studio for our first album titled Jesus I Come. After two months, the initial recording was finished and ready for mastering. In April, 2012, I was introduced to Mr. Tony Edmondson, Owner of Unity & Vision Records and Studio Perfection. Upon review of the Jesus I Come album, Mr. Tony offered his studio and expertise to master the final copy of the album. During the mastering process, Mr. Tony repeatedly commented on how well he thought the music was put together. On May 7, 2012, Jesus I Come was completed and the masters readied for copying. The completion of this project allowed Pastor Gurley to receive several speaking invitations, where the Voice of Unity band was allowed to open the service with many songs from the album. One of the first copies of the finished album was purchased by Mr. Tony for his personal use. Jesus I Come is now available on iTunes, AmazonMP3, Google Play, Spotify and many other digital download stores. Currently, we are recording our second album titled Flood In Me, scheduled for release by the end of September 2012. |
