ARAYBIA Here, there, and everywhere literally she grew up in Motown singing was inevitable, for this was her healing and escape. My feelings about the voice of Araybia. It speaks to me as if the images in Ingmar Bergman’s “The Seventh Seal” suddenly sang to the heavens and beyond. Balancing the struggle to live, to love, and to express the joy of life. I would describe her music “Hypno Dream Pop” having the same narcotic qualities as Karen Carpenter only with deep soul sensibilities. Her voice comes from deep within like Phyllis Hyman, even a hint of Minnie Ripperton and soars to infinity like Teena Marie. Her music is a combination of Neo-Soul with a dash of Jazz phrasing via Lady Day. Her voice soars, climbing, reaching for the stars in the night. Her voice is a voice I believe should be heard. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to work with her and watch her grow into a beautiful Butterfly. If you believe in love you will believe in Araybia.
