About George Dez | George Fernandez Jr. Born March 27, 1980 in Bellflower California is a Los Angeles Based Guitarist/Vocalist Whose guitar stylings are deeply rooted in Blues and Jazz George Fernandez Jr commonly known to his peers as George Dez has performed and shared the stage with such artist as Mickey Champion, Finis Tasby, Deacon Jones, Sherry Pruitt, Joey Heredia, Poncho Sanchez, Brenton wood, Greg Wright, Joe Banks, John Pisano, Bruce Willis, The Delgado Brothers, Tierra, Ruben Guevara, Lonnie Jordan, and many others. His first record Crosstown Blues was released in June 2011 and is a tribute to his mentor Laura Gross. (Babe n Ricky’s inn) George Fernandez Jr. along with the Delgado Brothers, and Local legend Sherry Pruit Won the 2011 International blues competition which culminated with a performance at the Orpheum theatre in Memphis. 2012 also proved to be great year for George Dez. He was Approached by Poncho Sanchez and asked to perform and sing Crosscut saw (A.king) and marry Ann (R.charles) on his up coming record. George kindly agreed and the record was recorded live at Hollywood and Highland on July 31st. 2012.
