| About Neville Brown Ruffneck | Neville Brown and his Ruff Neck Production company. One would be hard pressed to find a Lawrencian (KS) with more thorough knowledge of Jamaica than Neville Brown. The singer spent his teenage years wondering around Kingston/Water House and Tourist towns Ochi Rios, Negril Jamaica performing on public beaches to stay alive. A chance encounter with a UK Record producer gave him the money he needed to come to America. He took advantage of the opportunity by eventually going to the University of Kansas and study and got a bachelors degree in Social Work. Back then that was Flatfoot Hustlin’ meaning I was a hard time in Jamaica. I live in Lawrence KS. and have been working on a style of music that is a cross between Reggie, hip hop and pop ballad. After having a hit song in Jamaica many years ago known as Hall and Pull Up with a London based company call Negus Roots, I came to the United States and started producing and singing a lot of music and made videos for myself and other musicians Locally in Kansas City. The types of music production system that I have been using to record are like Cubass, Reasons, fruit loops, and Acid pro. Lawrence Kansas is also the home of the Jayhawks Basket Ball and the University of Kansas where I receive my Bachelors of art and science degree in social work. For myself as a recording artist I have put together an album called Heart Desire that I have written and produced myself which consist of a variety of music styles like some pop, Ballad, Reggie Rand B, which I hope will get some word wide recognition.
